""Our Story

Health Clinic Weight Loss Clinic was founded in Estonia in 2009 by experienced bariatric surgeon Dr Rein Adamson and his son Mihkel Adamson. Their vision was to provide people struggling with obesity with effective, evidence-based medical care and sustainable weight loss solutions. At a time when obesity treatment was largely limited to restrictive diets and bariatric surgery, Health Clinic recognised that obesity is a complex chronic disease influenced by genetics, metabolism, psychology and lifestyle factors.

As obesity medicine has evolved, so has Health Clinic. Advances in medical research, modern weight loss medications and multidisciplinary treatment have expanded the available options for obesity management. Today, Health Clinic offers personalised weight loss treatments, including nutritional counselling, medical weight loss, gastric balloon treatment and bariatric surgery. Our approach focuses on finding the most appropriate treatment for each patient rather than recommending the same solution to everyone.

With over 17 years of experience, Health Clinic brings together bariatric surgeons, physicians, dietitians, nurses and other healthcare specialists to provide comprehensive obesity treatment and long-term weight management support. By combining medical expertise, evidence-based treatments and individualised care, we help patients work towards sustainable weight loss, improved metabolic health and a better quality of life.

Over the years, our experience has shown that there is no single obesity treatment suitable for everyone. The most effective approach depends on each patient’s health, BMI, medical history and weight loss goals. While bariatric surgery can provide significant, long-term weight loss for patients with severe obesity, others may benefit from nutritional counselling, lifestyle changes, behavioural support or medical weight loss treatment. At Health Clinic, we focus on selecting the most appropriate evidence-based treatment to support sustainable weight loss and long-term health.

Our services include nutritional counselling, weight loss medication, gastric balloon treatment, bariatric surgery and post-weight loss body contouring. Our experienced surgeons, physicians, dietitians and other healthcare specialists work together to provide personalised treatment plans, helping patients achieve sustainable weight loss, improve metabolic health and maintain long-term results.

Good obesity care begins with asking the right questions, not offering the quickest answers. We believe every treatment decision should be guided by medical evidence, clinical expertise and a thorough understanding of the patient’s overall health.

We also believe that successful treatment is measured by more than kilograms lost. Better metabolic health, improved quality of life and sustainable long-term outcomes are equally important.
